BeelikeCoders 2022 is a hackathon based on "Student Betterment", powered by Associated Students of Laney College (ASLC).
We invite you to test your skills and train a deep learning model of your choice using any programming language(s) you know.
This 24-hour hackathon will begin at 9 AM (PST) on Saturday, March 26th, and end at 9 AM (PST) on Sunday, March 27th.
To qualify for prizes, participants must submit a website, app, or app prototype pertaining to student betterment. This hackathon is open to any students based in the United States.

Requirements

Participants must be a US-student.

All final projects must be completed during the 24-hour time period.

All final projects must be submitted to Devpost for participants to be eligible for prizes.

Submissions will need to include a text description that explains the features and functionality of the product in English.

Access must be provided for judging and testing by providing a link to a website, functioning demo, or a test build. If an entrant’s code repository is private, then they must include login credentials in their testing instructions.

Overall Best
$700 USD
This prize will be awarded to a team that submitted the overall best app, website, or app prototype. The winner of this prize will have to exceed in all areas of judging.
First Runner Up
$300 USD
This prize will be awarded to a team that submitted the second-best app, website, or app prototype. The winner of this prize will have to perform well in most areas of judging.
Best First Time Hack
$150 USD
This prize will be awarded to a team composed entirely of first-time hackers whose project excelled in all areas of judging.
Best High School Hack
Laney Swag Bag(s)
This prize will be awarded to a team composed entirely of high school students whose project excelled in all areas of judging. Each teammate will receive a Laney College Swag Bag as a reward for this prize.
Best Peralta Inspired Hack

The project should have a clear target market or audience. The project should address a clear need, problem, or opportunity and is the solution clearly explained. -
Innovation
The project that clearly and meaningfully innovates beyond existing products or services are highly considered. -
Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility
The team should adequately address how the needs of all users with regards to gender, ethnicity, disability segment, or other diverse characteristics were considered to make their project inclusive and accessible. -
Technology
The project must make an effective and appropriate use of the major features in student betterment. The project should have a professional degree of production in terms of performance, user interface, visuals, and audio.
